Third Head of the Dragon

The bat, a creature of the night and symbol of the subconscious, has been revered in many cultures as an embodiment of intuition, vision, and the ability to see through illusions. It is said to be an expert navigator in the darkest of spaces, employing an additional sense, echolocation, that human beings do not possess. This ability to move seamlessly through darkness is symbolic of our own potential to navigate the complex labyrinths of our subconscious.

The realm of the subconscious is akin to an enormous, subterranean cavern filled with symbols, emotions, and memories. Just like the bat navigates through the echoing dark, we too need to learn to navigate our subconscious minds, not with the five senses we employ in the waking world, but with a sixth sense, a perception honed by intuition and emotional awareness. We are tasked with learning to understand and interpret the subtle echoes and whispers that resonate through our minds. These echoes are our thoughts, feelings, and impulses that lie beneath our immediate conscious awareness, the echo-location of our inner selves.

But unlike the chilling caves and shadowy haunts of bats, our subconscious is not a cold and lonely place. It pulses with an inner fire, a lively glow that emanates from the depths of our psyche, fueling our dreams and passions. The bat's keen sonar vision reveals the intricate details of this inner landscape, rich with a potential that's usually hidden in our waking life.

Relating the bat to the element of fire might seem contradictory initially, considering the bat’s nocturnal nature. However, in many traditions, the element of fire represents transformation, passion, and illumination. Here, the bat's connection to fire is not in its affinity for light, but in its capacity for navigating the darkness. The bat, through its ability to traverse the darkness, brings to light the hidden, the subconscious, the fire within us that often goes unnoticed or unexpressed. Just as fire brings light to darkness and catalyzes change, so too does the bat reveal the hidden parts of our psyche, prompting us to understand and integrate them.

This correlation urges us to embrace the bat’s wisdom, to learn to fly and glide through the cavernous subconscious playfully and freely, bringing light to the darkest corners of our being. Only by understanding these depths can we kindle the inner fire, fueling our passions, illuminating our dreams, and forging transformative personal growth. The bat, a guide in the darkness, invites us to explore the vast, complex labyrinth within, fostering a brave and exhilarating journey towards self-discovery and personal enlightenment.

Seasons, Cycles & Timing

Meditation Prompts:

Consider the various cycles of your life, such as personal development or relationships. What patterns do you notice, and how have these cycles contributed to your growth?

How often do you plant for the future? How often do you reap the fruits from past plantings?

You will begin to focus on keeping track of your dreams with a Dream Journal. 

You can use a physical book, or your phone notes section, it's up to you. 

As soon as you wake, write down what you remember immediately, even if its not much. 

Try your best to pull anything you can remember from your residual dream. Location? Mood? People?

If you don't remember anything, still write down "I do not remember anything about my dream right now, I will try again tomorrow."

This will start to show your mind you wish to remember your dreams, and with persistence, it will comply.
